Hear a portion of a "Brunswick Brevities" 78-RPM recording, in MP3, with Irving Mills and his Hotsy Totsy Gang, presented by Brunswick Panatrope. This eight-minute recording, made for promotional broadcasting, dates from early 1930, features "You're Nobody's Sweetheart Now," and "Harvey," with vocal by Hoagy Carmichael. Mills incorrectly introduces the song as "I'm Nobody's Sweeheart Now." The announcer, though unidentified, is believed to be Frank Knight.

Elizabeth McLeod, well-known authority on broadcast transcriptions of the era, wrote to the Museum:

...the Brevities series was produced by Brunswick-Balke-Collender Company for syndication via the National Radio Advertising Company Inc. from August 1929 to approximately March 1930. Many of the programs were actually dubs of commercially-issued Brunswick releases with announcements added in.

...I'm inclined to think, though, that this is one of the later programs in the series, from the early months of 1930, since Norman Brokenshire and Chester Gaylord were the usual announcers for the 1929 recordings.
